David Hayes and Lindsay Park Stud have celebrated their 26th juvenile race win this season by placing both first and second in the $1 Million Group One Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield. In this impressive quinella, Nadeem beat the odds to power up the home straight to beat fellow Lindsay Park horse, Miss Finland, by two and a quarter lengths.
The pair, both sired by Arrowfield Stud's Redoute's Choice, dominated the field in what was a very heavy track and through pouring rain. While sheltering from the weather under an umbrella, Hayes expressed his thoughts on his recent flood of wins with this apt quote, "When it rains, it pours."
The Hayes family and Lindsay Park Stud have sought nutritional advice and products from KER since it commenced operating in Australia in 1993. KER has helped develop feed programs for the all the Hayes horses, including Fields of Omagh who won his first race at Caulfield on the 4th of March- 5 years to the day after winning his first race at Sandown- by charging home to win the $700,000 Group 1 Futurity Handicap. Fields of Omagh, winner of the 2003 Cox Plate, is amazingly "on target" to run the prestigious race for the 5th time this year.
