Two Kentucky Equine Research scientists have been honored with the Peter Irwin Literary Award, given annually by the Equine Veterinarians Australia.
The award is for the best clinical article published in the Australian Equine Veterinarian in the last 12 months. The article, "Nutrition of Horses with Metabolic Disorders," was authored by Dr. Peter Huntington and Dr. Joe Pagan. KER researchers have been regular contributors to that journal over the years, and it is the third occasion that Dr. Huntington has won the award.
Equine Veterinarians Australia (EVA) is a professional organization representing over 1,000 equine practitioners throughout the continent. EVA aims to elevate veterinary standards throughout the industry by providing resources and continuing education opportunities to its members.
