Kentucky Equine Research Hosts WEG Australian Endurance Team

September 3, 2010

The Australian Endurance Team horses for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games arrived safely and in good health at Kentucky Equine Research's farm near Versailles, Ky., the evening of Sept. 2. Jane Radny, who is grooming West Coast Acharon for her husband's WEG ride, had arrived a few days earlier, and Peter and Penny Toft, groom and rider, respectively, of Don, arrived the day before the horses.

Matthew Sample's Tarrangower Crescendo also arrived and will be joined by his rider closer to the WEG competition date. Tarrangower Crescendo is being handled by the Tofts until Sample arrives.

In Penny Toft's blog (http://www.toftendurance.com.au/penny/default.aspx) she says on Sept. 3: "Wow, are we lucky. Kentucky Equine Research Farm is about everything that we could ever have hoped for and more. Joe, Anna, and their Team have certainly gone out of their way to make their magnificent property available to us."

Kimberly S. Brown, KER Global Marketing Manager, said, "Kentucky Equine Research has a great relationship with the Australian Endurance Team through our long-time sponsorship. With a KER office in Melbourne, Australia, we have very close ties to the Australian sport horse world, including KER's additional sponsorship of the Australian Equestrian Team.

"We wish all the competitors and their horses the best of luck at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games!" Brown added.

The Australian Endurance Team is one of 32 that will compete at the 2010 WEG. Kentucky Equine Research, a global equine nutrition, research, and consultation company serving both the horse producer and the feed industry, is a full-time sponsor of the Australian Endurance Squad.

In addition to the above support for WEG horses and riders, KER is the sponsor of the 2010 Kentucky Equine Research/U.S. Para-Equestrian Team for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The U.S. Para-Equestrian Team will also be in training at the KER research farm prior to WEG.
