BONE FOOD is a balanced calcium, phosphorus and magnesium supplement for performance horses, broodmares and growing horses.

BONE FOOD delivers the essential bone-building nutrients: calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Inadequate amount s of these nutrients can lead to weakening of bones in horses, especially performance horses, lactating mares and growing horses. Many diets do not provide optimal levels or correct ratios of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.

BONE FOOD is especially appropriate for horses fed diets high in grain and cereal chaff, as these are usually deficient in calcium. High-oxalate pastures such as kikuyu contain calcium-binding agents, which may contribute to the bone disorder big head disease.

BONE FOOD is ideal for horses that consume high-grain and low-roughage diets and sweat heavily.

USES:

  • To supplement diets in which calcium, phosphorus and magnesium  are too low for optimal performance
  • To ensure maximal skeletal growth of young horses, especially those fed low-quality forages
