Olivia Yates, originally from Knaresborough, England, is a yearlong intern. She earned a degree in equine dental science from Hartpury College. Signing on at KER is a continuation of a life fraught with horses and equestrian pursuits, according to Olivia.
“My interest in horses came from my parents originally, and then I worked at a local riding school and later the Yorkshire Riding Centre during university,” said Olivia.
Olivia is considering an advanced degree in equine nutrition after her internship at KER is over. She has a particular interest in the relationship between nutrition and digestive disorders.
