Sam Garling (Australia)

Sam Garling, Cronulla, Sydney, Australia, is a yearlong intern. Sam earned a bachelor’s degree in animal and veterinary bioscience from the University of Sydney.
He chose an internship at KER because of the company’s worldwide reputation as an equine nutrition leader, as well as a chance to experience nearby Lexington, Kentucky, the horse capital of the world.
With a keen interest in Thoroughbreds, Sam hopes one day to work as a nutritional consultant to racing and breeding farms. His interest in Thoroughbreds stems in part from his grandfather, who once owned a racing establishment and still races horses. In the past, Sam has worked at Thoroughbred studs preparing yearlings for public auction.
