Bagdad Roller Mills Fuels Winners in
Show Rings and Sales Rings

Gaviola

Eclipse Award finalist Gaviola sold for $1.9 million at the 2004 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. Consigned to the sale by her breeder Twilite Farms, Gaviola was a standout mare on the track, winning six consecutive races in one season. Four of those wins were in graded stakes and included the Garden City Breeders’ Cup Handicap (Grade I) on the turf. Gaviola was born and raised at Nighthawk Stud, which relies upon Bagdad Roller Mills and Kentucky Equine Research to provide state-of-the-art nutrition. Nighthawk Stud, located in LaGrange, is managed by Tony Guida.

Fox De Jour

Fox De Jour, owned by Pleasantview Farm and shown by Kelsey Price, was crowned Junior Exhibitor Five-Gaited World Grand Champion at the 2004 Kentucky State Fair. Pleasantview Farm uses custom-blended feeds formulated by Kentucky Equine Research and manufactured by Bagdad Roller Mills to keep its show horses in top condition. Fox De Jour is testament to this, as the American Saddlebred gelding has thrived on feeds produced by Bagdad his entire life. Kelsey Price is the daughter of Kris Price Knight, owner of Pleasantview Farm in Simpsonville.

Thunder Over Louisville

“He loves to pose and he loves to trot. He is the complete package,” say the members of The Crazy Ladies Partnership, owners of Thunder Over Louisville. Judges at the 2001 World’s Championship Horse Show certainly thought so as they unanimously chose him as the winner of the Open Weanling Breeders Stake. By Attache’s Thunderbolt and out of Tender Mercies, Thunder Over Louisville was trained and presented by Joan Lurie of Willowbank Farm in Simpsonville, Kentucky. Willowbank Farm is a premier American Saddlebred breeding and training facility and is home to several world-class stallions, mares, and young horses. Thunder Over Louisville was fed 15% Mare and Foal Pellet while being conditioned for the show ring.

The Natural

Roadster sensation The Natural added two more stellar credentials to his impressive resume at the 2001 World’s Championship Horse Show in August. Presented by Crystal Everett, The Natural topped off an amazing year when he was unanimously selected World Grand Champion Amateur Roadster to Bike and World Champion Amateur Roadster to Bike (Div. 1). Owners and trainers Kim and Fran Crumpler of Crumpler Stables, Ltd. have trained in the Louisville, Kentucky area for 11 years and oversee a large training stable and lesson program. The Natural’s winning performances are fueled by 13% High Performance Horse Pellets.
