Equimix recently secured a deal with worldwide equine nutrition leader Kentucky Equine Research (KER) that will catapult the company into a new era of national recognition as the leader in equine nutrition in Brazil. KER is recognized as the top private equine nutrition research company in the world, since its conception it has generated more publications that many of the leading US universities.
KER's team of equine nutritionists have applied the most recent advances in equine nutrition to the formulation of all Equimix products. These feeds will incorporate the highest quality ingredients and attention to detail that KER's Team Members have made their signature trait.
In addition to superior feed formulations, KER will introduce Microsteed and Gro-Trac. Microsteed is a sophisticated software program used to complete balance diets based in all the essential nutrients required by horses. Gro-Trac is a growth evaluation program that allows breeders to contrast the growth rates of their stock with those of thousands of other horses of similar breed, age, and sex. By charting height, weight, and average daily gain, breeders can determine how their weanlings and yearlings stack up against other young horses. Using Equimix feeds as a foundation, horse owners can build rations that best suit the horses they are feeding.
"We are very excited to be working with Equimix, a company founded by Fernando Simoes that deals exclusively in horse feed. Equimix is interested in producing feeds that create real, measurable differences in all horses. The company is committed to the manufacture of high-quality feeds and unprecedented customer service," said Florencia Arrambide, general manager of KER International.
Equimix maintains its headquarters in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil, strategically located to service the main breeding and training centers of the country. However Equimix's expertise is sought from every corner of the country.
KER has a rich tradition of providing top-of-the-line feeds to the greatest equine athletes in the world. In 2000, the company was tapped to be the official nutritionist of the United States Equestrian Team, and in 2004 that sponsorship was renewed with the United States Equestrian Federation. KER has also played a pivotal role in procuring feeds for the last three Olympic Games.
