Capstone Horse Feeds is a brand of feed in South Africa utilising micronized cereal grains which involves an “infrared cooking” process aimed at greatly improving and enhancing the nutritional value of certain cereal grains by increasing digestibility and performance.
Capstone Horse Feeds are formulated by expert nutritionists Kentucky Equine Research (“KER”) who are based in Kentucky, USA and Australasia. KER is the most prominent Equine Nutrition Organisation in the world. Capstone Horse Feeds has formed a synergistic alliance with KER and it is a partnership unique to South Africa.
Capstone Horse Feeds is manufactured by Straight A's in a dedicated horse feed mill, fully owned in partnership by Capstone 335 (Pty) Ltd and Afresh Vention (Pty) Ltd and is distributed by Afresh Brands and a dealer network throughout South Africa. Straight A's also own a steam charffing, cleaning, micronizing, automated mixing and bagging factory.
The Capstone Feed standard product range, of nine individual feeds, an electrolyte replacer and a feed supplement, is designed to produce the best possible results for horses. These quality feeds are produced from selected ingredients and formulated to high nutritional levels. Capstone Feeds come packed in customised laminated polyprop bags for ease of handling and use. All products are dust free with minimum “fines”, thus greatly reducing the risk of respiratory problems, upper airway and lung infections.
The Capstone Feed Range comprises mainly of coarse or sweet mixes in muesli style rations, cool mixes and in pelletted form to suit client preference. All our rations are formulated to a “fixed formula specification” and we do not use “least cost formulations” to save costs in our products. You the customer is therefore assured to get what you pay for as stated in our specifications and analysis.
