Specialists at Kentucky Equine Research have formulated FRM products based on the most current research in equine nutrition and have designed products to meet the optimum nutritional needs of healthy horses.
NEW! COOL BALANCE is a technologically advanced feed rich in fiber, fat, and high-quality protein designed to meet the needs of all horses including performance horses, broodmares, stallions, weanlings, and maintenance horses. The starch has been reduced by the addition of highly digestible soy hulls and beet pulp. Cool Balance does not compromise critical energy needs, but capitalizes on safe and efficient energy sources.
MARE ‘N’ FOAL FORMULA is specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of horses up to 12 months of age. This feed is formulated to minimize the occurrence of developmental orthopedic disease and to provide nutrients for optimal growth. Mare ‘N’ Foal Formula contains 16% protein and is available in both pelleted and textured forms.
WRANGLER HORSE FORMULA is a 14% protein feed designed to meet the nutritional demands of yearlings and mares in late gestation and lactation. It is also appropriate for two-year-olds and performance horses in light training. This formula is available in pelleted or textured form.
TROT-A-WAY PERFORMANCE FORMULA is designed to ensure peak athletic performance. This formula replenishes nutrients lost in intense work and is fortified to meet protein, mineral, and vitamin requirements. Trot-A-Way Performance Formula contains highly digestible energy sources that help maintain body condition and energy reserves. This formula is available in pelleted and textured form.
ENDURANCE GOLD is formulated specifically for horses that perform strenuous exercise. Energy in Endurance Gold is afforded by fermentable fiber and fat. Beet pulp provides high-quality fiber, which ensures a continuous supply of energy to horses involved in long-distance exercise. Soybean oil increases the energy density of the ration without boosting starch levels. In addition to a full complement of vitamins and minerals, Endurance Gold is fortified with natural vitamin E, an antioxidant known to help prevent muscle soreness following intense exercise. Yeast culture promotes normal hindgut function and maximizes fiber digestion.
OLD TIMER HORSE FEED is a 14% protein feed designed to address the nutrient needs of the older horse when fed with hay and/or pasture. Old Timer features added fat to increase energy density and availability, increased levels of trace minerals and vitamins, and yeast culture, which promotes normal gut function and increased nutrient digestibility.
EQUIBALANCE HORSE SUPPLEMENT is designed for foals, weanlings, mares, and performance horses. Equibalance can be fed alone (no additional grain) to horses maintaining adequate body condition on high-quality hay or pasture. Equibalance acts as a low-calorie, concentrated source of essential protein, vitamins, and minerals, which are often marginal in all-forage diets. It can also be mixed with unfortified grain to form balanced grain concentrates.
