INTACOL-Indústrias Agro-Alimentares SA joined the KER Team Member alliance in 2005. After becoming a member of KER's exclusive network of feed manufacturers, INTACOL with the help of KER's team of equine nutritionists, reformulated its current line of popular feeds to include the most recent advances in equine nutrition research. In addition, the team created a range of premium feeds for Intacol marketplaces, primarily Portugal and Morocco. The feeds incorporate high-quality ingredients and attention to detail that Intacol customers have respected for more than 15 years.
INTACOL maintains its international headquarters in Sobralinho, Alverca, Portugal. At these premises, the most advanced technology is used to create products that exceed the highest international standards for manufacturing. For instance, Intacol has pioneered micronization in Portugal, and is the only feed company in the country to implement this processing technique. Micronization increases the digestion and absorption efficiency of certain cereal grains, thus increasing their effectiveness in delivering nutrition.
In addition to superior feed formulations, KER will introduce feed- and growth-related software to customers of INTACOL. Micro Steed evaluates the nutritional adequacy of rations. Using INTACOL feeds as a foundation, horse owners can build rations that best suit the horses they are feeding. This ration evaluation is available to all INTACOL customers via the INTACOL website.
Gro-Trac is a growth evaluation program that allows breeders to contrast the growth rates of their stock with those of thousands of other horses of similar breed, age, and sex. By charting height, weight, and average daily gain, breeders can determine how their weanlings and yearlings stack up against other young horses. Both MicroSteed and Gro-Trac were conceived and maintained by the professionals at KER.
KER has a rich tradition of providing top-of-the-line feeds to the greatest equine athletes in the world.
