Lakin Milling Products
All of Lakin’s hay pellets contain a vitamin and mineral premix that has been carefully designed for different classes of horses. DYNA FOAL pellets, the newest product, contains 15% protein and is intended for pregnant (3rd trimester) and lactating broodmares as well as young and growing horses. LAKIN LITE is an 11% protein pellet formulated for the mature horse either at maintenance or light work. EQUIDYNE COMPLETE is nutritionally formulated for horses that require a bit more energy in their ration, hard-keepers, or those performing at more moderate levels of work. ESTRELLA BRAND is a 14% protein pellet that is also intended for mature horses at maintenance or training that may require slightly higher protein levels.
Lakin Milling pays close attention to quality, and guarantees that only the finest ingredients are used
in its feeds. No straw, threshings, or other “fillers” are used in Lakin products.
Estrella Brand
This feed is made from clean, dry ground alfalfa hay, cane molasses, and a vitamin-mineral supplement designed for Southwest conditions. Designed for maintenance or lightly worked horses, Estrella Brand is adequate to meet nutritional needs without further supplements, grain, or additional roughage.
Equidyne (High Octane)
This product is formulated for horses at hard work or being fitted for show. The roughage portion of Equidyne is identical to Estrella Brand, and cracked corn (15%) and a complete vitamin-mineral package have been added. Grain content remains low enough to minimize chances of founder and other metabolic disorders. To fuel performance horses or bring halter horses to absolute peak condition, additional grain may be supplemented.
Dyna Foal
This pellet is a complete diet for the growing foal and pregnant mare. Dyna Foal protects against nutritionally caused bone disease while permitting optimum growth. It is made of select alfalfa fortified with phosphorus to achieve a correct calcium:phosphorus ratio. Dyna Foal also contains copper, zinc, and other trace elements identified by recent research as essential for healthy skeletal growth.
Lakin Lite
Lakin Lite horse pellets are designed for mature horses or those in light work. These horses need a steady supply of vitamins and minerals but do not require the extra calories found in many commercial feeds. Lakin Lite’s special formulation keeps mature horses in good condition and supports a healthy immune system.
